ULTRAAQUA is specialized in pool water treatment for public pools and we are known for pioneering advance filtration and disinfection technologies. We seek to provide the newest technologies available to improve the quality of the water in swimming pools all over the world. It is our aim to improve the water quality in order to reduce health risk and minimize water and energy consumption.
At ULTRAAQUA we aim to reduce all use of chemicals for water treatment in swimming pools and we concentrate on improving the physical filtration and disinfection processes rather than the chemical. The physical water treatment may involve the following:

Filtration of Suspended Impurities
Disinfection from Micro-Organisms and Infections
Microfiltration

To remove solid particles (>10 μm) from the water ULTRAAQUA recommends Hydrotech drum filter. The filter is usually used at the beginning of the purification process.
To kill any remaining microorganisms in the water is an important process of water treatment as it can prevent pathogenic microorganisms from causing human disease.

ULTRAAQUA works with the two most effective ways of disinfecting pool water:

UV- disinfection with ULTRAAQUA’s MultiRay series guarantees an effective and natural way of killing microorganisms. The UV rays destroy the DNA of the bacteria and viruses.
Ozone disinfection that uses oxygen atoms to destroy particles through oxidization – An extremely effective method to kill microorganisms and is not harmful to human health.

The microfiltration is designed to remove very small particles from the water that range in size from 0.1 to 1.5 microns. It is able to filter out suspended matter and some microorganisms. As the only membrane system on the market ULTRAAQUA membranes has a unique double acting mode; besides being able to recycle backwash water from sand filters, the system is further designed to reuse its own rinse water so that only very little and extremely concentrated water ends up in the sewer.
