Ultraaqua’s UV systems are installed in a new RAS farm in Vietnam

A new recirculated shrimp farm is build in Vietnam

Ultraaqua together with other Danish aquaculture suppliers are involved in the VIDATEC organization – “Vietnamese Danish Aquaculture Technology Excellence Center”. The platform develops an active collaboration between the two countries, where the Vietnamese aquaculture industry will vastly benefit from Danish expertise, technology and “know-how” solutions.  The mission is to increase the operational efficiency and to develop a sustainable aquaculture environment.

Through VIDATEC involvement a new recirculated shrimp farm in Ben Tre province of Vietnam has been finalized (named “CADET”), where Ultraaqua’s UV systems are installed in order to eliminate/reduce the risk of introducing pathogens and parasites. Read more about Ultraaqua RAS systems.

The new modern RAS farm will take care of the inlet-water and will keep the water free of diseases. The facility consists of a raceway-systems for nursing the post-larvae and four grow-out ponds (2 indoor and 2 outdoors). Download Ultraaqua’s dedicated Aquaculture brochure.

Among guests, at the inauguration of farm participated the Danish Ambassador, Charlotte Laursen. The Danish Government made investments of over 18 billion DKK for supporting the Ben Tre province in projects such as intensive fish farming or in organizing climate change adaptation (solar water plants).

The Ultraaqua system installed is a MR8-350PP Channel, suitable for corrosive environments due to the polypropylene corrosion-resistant construction.
