Lead design and development engineer

The position:

In ULTRAAQUA UV, we are busy with ongoing development of new innovative UV systems for disinfection of fluids and advanced oxidation processes. The fast growth in past years has led us for need of a talented, ambitious and dedicated lead designer to strengthen our UV R&D group.

ULTRAAQUA UV offer a chance for you to set your personal footprint in the extremely important work to optimise the use of our planets limited water resources.

It is important that you are self-driven and by nature motivated person seeking knowledge, exploring possibilities and alternative approaches.

You must be creative with insight in manufacturing processes. It is essential that you are professional in 3D product design (AutoDesk Inventor) and have interest and some capability to understand physical and chemical processes as it is often necessary in order to assist in converting findings obtained by our dedicated researchers into market optimised products.

It is important that you are organised as documentation must go hand in hand with design and development.

You will typically be given your own projects, but you will only be able to reach final goals if you are a true team player. It will also be your responsibility that the R&D group will work together in a positive, inspirational, constructive and synergistic manner.

To make life easy for our workshop technicians and during on-site during installation and operation it is crucial that you have strong practical understanding.

Role and key responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for the development of ULTRAAQUA UV water disinfection systems
  • Coordinate and lead the development goals of the UV systems within R&D department
  • Responsible for certification and validation processes of the UV systems for various market areas
  • Create designs that are scalable to global distribution and manufacturing

Your requirements:

  • Professional 3D designer, preferably with AutoDesk Inventor
  • Good English skills as a first or second language
  • Professional knowledge of the main Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook);
  • Good organisational skills, problem-solving, willingness to work in a multicultural team.
  • Not afraid of decision-making and taking responsibility
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical 3D designin. Preferably you would have experience in the water treatment industry.
